Natali was born in the far north of Russia, in a small town on the border with Finland — a quiet, in-between landscape that still shapes the stillness in her work.
Today she lives and works in Malta, where light and sea replace the northern cold. She makes conceptual art: paintings that take familiar images — a sky, an animal, a body, an iceberg — and use them to ask who we are and what we choose to become.
Each piece carries a single idea, painted plainly enough to read and openly enough to argue with.
